What is the typical duration of a trivia night?
A typical trivia night runs for about 3 hours, including 4-6 rounds of trivia, fundraising games, and breaks. This duration allows for a balanced mix of activities and engagement without overwhelming the participants.
What do I need to supply for the evening?
We bring everything needed for running the trivia & games but. you need to supply:
- Prizes for the winning team
- 3 Prizes to be used as incentives for fundraising games (if applicable)
- A trestle table (or similar) & chair
- Access to a standard 240v power outlet
- A parking space as close to the venue door as possible.
What sort of prizes should I provide?
The types of prizes you provide is entirely up to you, but here are some handy guidelines…
For the Winning Table
Make sure you have something that can be easily divided between the team. Typically this could be:
- Bottles of wine
- Chocolates
- Vouchers or similar.
For the Fundraising Games
Generally we need 3 fundraising incentive prizes. They do not need to be expensive (but they can be!). Examples include:
- Wine or spirits
- Chocolates
- Vouchers
Other Prizes
Sometimes organisers like to provide a joke prize for the losing team. Examples of prizes for each team member might be:
- A roll of toilet paper
- A wooden spoon
What if we need to make announcements or have a live auction during the event?
I will MC the evening, making all necessary housekeeping and thank-you announcements.
I can also call the live auction, raffle, and spruik the silent auction if required.
How far in advance should I book a trivia night?
It’s best to book your trivia night at least a few months in advance to ensure availability and allow ample time for planning and promotion.
That said, some clients book a year in advance!
Feel free to use the booking calendar to either book online or see available dates.
Can the trivia night be customized to fit our event theme or goals?
Absolutely! We can fit in with whatever other activities you may have planned (Catering, announcements, awards etc).
We offer themed trivia nights (e.g., 1980s, 1990s, Christmas, Halloween) and can customise the questions and activities to align with your event’s goals and theme.
What equipment do you provide for the trivia night?
We provide everything needed, including a state-of-the-art sound system, video projector and screen, background music, wireless headset microphone for the host, handheld mic for announcements, pens, answer sheets, and all equipment for games.
Do you offer fundraising activities during the trivia night?
Yes, we include interactive fundraising games between trivia rounds, which can help raise significant funds for your cause. On average, we help raise between $20-$50 per head.
Can you help with event promotion and ticket sales?
While we don’t handle ticket sales directly, we can provide promotional materials and advice on how to effectively market your event and maximise attendance.
How do you ensure the safety of participants during the event?
We arrive 1.5 hours before doors open to set up and ensure everything is perfect.
All leads are taped and made safe to avoid tripping and electrical hazards.
All electrical equipment is tested & tagged.
We also have full $30 million public liability insurance.
What type of trivia questions can we expect?
Our trivia questions cover a wide range of topics, including general knowledge, pop culture, sports, history, and more.
We also include fun rounds like video and music trivia.
Can we include our own questions?
Yes, if you have specific questions you’d like to include, we can work with you to incorporate them into the trivia night.
To include custom questions you need to provide them to us at least 2 weeks before the event.
Do you offer DJ services after the trivia night?
We offer optional DJ services and disco lighting to keep the party going after the trivia night ends.
How many people can be at a trivia night?
We can run trivia for ANY sized group from 20 people to 300 people or more! No audience is too big or too small.
